On the 11 January 2008 Siam Safari was given the pleasure of welcoming both the President of the Livestock Department for Thailand, Khun Sakchai Srisoonsue and the Govenor of Livestock Control for the south Khun Tossaporn to its Elephant Camp in Chalong, Phuket – Thailand.

The visit was a chance for the pair to relax from their busy schedule with both Khun Sakchai and Khun Tossaporn riding our Water Buffalo and feeding our Elephants with fresh fruits. They both wanted to see how our camp was doing since the last time we were visited almost 6 months ago.

Siam Safari’s Elephant Camp is the only Elephant Camp in Phuket certified by the Livestock Department of Thailand and we are proud that both officials took the time out of their busy schedule to pop by and visit our camp to say hello to some of our Elephants and Buffalo!
